Well, TGS 2008 has come and gone. Most were unable to attend, meaning we missed out on the chance to play the Star Ocean: The Last Hope demo that was available in the Microsoft section of the event. Fortunately, however, ruliweb.com has our back with over nine minutes of gameplay from the demo that was featured at TGS. The two videos really give an in-depth look into the game elements.
Because the download speeds from Ruliweb are a tad slow, you are also able to download them from here.

Great news today! Tokyo Game Show is up, and guess what: at Microsoft booth there is a playable demo of Star Ocean 4!
Click HERE to see the video. (Camera quality is good, however due to Japanese text and small screen is difficult to understand game mechanics. I hope that some news will spread on the net fast)
Also, Star Ocean: The Last Hope is dated March the 3rd for USA, and February 19th in Japan. A European and Asian version have been confirmed, however no words on release dates of those versions (I'm European i hope SO4 isn't region locked OR ELSE) Dammit, tri-Ace have been really fast recently, counting that Final Fantasy XIII is on his 4 year of development.
Lets start hoping for a Marketplace demo! Please!
Anyways in the end, Spring 2009 is going to be a unforgettable season!

A new voucher called the "B Voucher" has also appeared in the "Xbox LIVE Marketplace" option that can be accessed from the Infinite Undiscovery title screen. However, unlike the "A Voucher", which was available to both Silver and Gold, this new voucher is currently reserved for Gold Xbox LIVE members only.
The description for the voucher reads: "The B Voucher allows you to purchase an B material set, useful for item creation." But since I don't have access to the voucher as of yet, I'm not sure what items it allows you to buy from shops. However, Yazus who is a member of our forums, informs me it allows you to purchase several different kinds of cloth.
So if you have a Gold Xbox Live account, be sure to download it.

tri-Ace as relased a brand new screenshot - a lot of them from the game - Star Ocean: The Last Hope. The game is gonna be relased worldwide around spring 2009. Only few of them.
View all the screenshots
Also, tri-Ace relased new news 1) As far as Star Ocean's plotline goes, this game covers what could be considered prehistory -- the second half of the 21st century. World War III breaks out in 2064, razing the planet and forcing people to live in underground cities. The world governments see space development as a solution, and after the world's first working warp drive is invented in 2087, a new planetary exploration force is created to search for a new home for the human race. Edge Maverick and Reimi Saionji, two childhood friends, are members of this elite team, with more characters joining them later on. Two new party members were introduced : Faize Sheifa Beleth, a rapier-wielding 18-year-old from planet Elder who's cool and emotionless; and Lymle Remli Phi, a villager from planet Remlik who's gifted in magic.
2) The battle works just like Star Ocean Till the End of time one with some changes. You control your four-person party in real time, using a mixture of regular attacks, special moves, and magic as you maneuver around your enemies. One new facet of the system is a "sight in/sight out" concept -- every enemy has a field of vision, and suddenly leaving your opponent's line of sight (say, by jumping into the air or sidestepping out of view) will temporarily disorient him, giving you a clear shot at a slow-motion counterattack. Party members can be changed in and out of battle as always.
3) Unknown things/Things to note: -Rush gauge and how it works -Every monster, behind the HP/Rush gauge have it's own portrait -It seems that you can jump in battle (and in field?)
That's not all: more things are gonna be revealed on TGS: a demo of Star Ocean: TLH is gonna be playable on Microsoft Booth.
Now we can only pray for the demo to show up in Marketplace.

If you have an Xbox Live account and missed out on the pre-order voucher that came with the game, you are in luck. A new an item called "A Voucher" has shown up and is now available after selecting the "Xbox LIVE Marketplace" option from the title screen. The description for this voucher reads: "Customers with this voucher will have access to items generally not sold in the in-game shops. The A Voucher allows you to purchase an A material set, useful for item creation."
Should be pointed out that while this download does remove the tedious farming for materials, it also takes some of the challenge out of the game. Anyway, after the download is complete, load your most recent game save and head over to the nearest shop. There you will find many of the rarest items required for item creation are now available, for a price that is (What?! No Dragon Fangs!).
Best of all, the "A Voucher" is free and available to both Silver and Gold members.

Completed Infinite Undiscovery today (haven't updated lately since I was finishing the game) with a play time of 72+ hours (counting the Seraphic Gate). This is much longer then what you will normally get while playing, but during my quest to save the world, I did a lot of extra exploring. Mainly attempting to talk to every town NPC during each different event and connecting with party members while in towns to have them converse with each other as well as town NPCs. Needless to say, this was a tedious task, but it offered quite a few bonus rewards in the form of side-quests and rare items. Overall though, I thoroughly enjoyed Infinite Undiscovery and will have lots of videos coming soon.
Today's update is as follows:
Exclusive Multimedia Infinite Undiscovery - Iseria Queen Boss Battle
tri-Ace Multimedia Infinite Undiscovery - Inside Xbox Feature #5 Valkyrie Profile: The Accused One - Gameplay Demonstration 1 Valkyrie Profile: The Accused One - Gameplay Demonstration 2

Today, September the 10th, on niconico video, a new video have been relased: it's the Battle Theme of Star Ocean: The Last Hope, the last installament of the famous tri-Ace sci-fi series, coming out in Spring 2009 for XBOX360. Motoi Sakuraba, who did the previous three Star Ocean sountracks - and most if not every tri-Ace game sountrack - never cease to amaze us! The style seems pretty jazz like the Star Ocean: Till the End of Time battle theme, and this is indeed a good news!
Here is the original niconico video link: http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm4583433 (The site is in japanese, you need to register)
